CHRISTMAS IN DALARNA

Christmas in Dala-Floda is really very peaceful and pretty.
The picturesque village and the nearness to both the lake,
forests and the mighty river offer such spectacular views.
Also the special tradition of lighting hundreds of torches in the early morning in the village
on Christmas Day for people going to church. The only place in the world to do so.!
Christmas Day early morning already at 4 Paul gets up to light the about 30 torches,
places them along the road. All inhabitants of Dala-Floda respect this tradition
so a walk in the narrow lanes among all the lights is much impressing.

Christmas holidays 23-26/12 cost 3.750:- per person
staying in a double room with an extende half board.





Swedish rural breakfast at 8.30 - coffe/the break at around 1.30 - Dinner at 6 pm.
This time of the year we eat a lot and sleep quite a lot and our guests love the peaceful
environment and the pretty village of Dala-Floda. You can book the new built sauna by the lake
(or just have a sauna in our hotel). You will spend some hours outside in the dark blue light.
If snow you will go "sparking" or if ice maybe skating. There are many fire places
and we have a great library. our kitchen is known for its orgaic qualities.
We do not use pigs meat but lamb and turkey from the nearby villages
